About Veilburner
The Men
Comprised of Mephisto Deleterio (Dave Moody) and Chrisom Infernium (Chris Sheppard), Veilburner is a Pennsylvania duo who have released nine studio metal albums since 2014. Deleterio handles all instrumentation and production; Infernium delivers the vocals, writes the lyrics, and shapes the band's visual identity.
The Sound
Poised at the intersection of avant-garde, black, and death metal, Veilburner summons dissonant riffs, warped song structures, and vocal performances that swing between guttural growls and unhinged calls to Gnostic armies.
The Philosophy
Veilburner weaves an ongoing narrative built from cryptic mysticism, cosmic horror, and esoteric ritual. Recurring themes include gnosticism, nihilism, and occultism, channeled through two men chasing transcendence beyond the limits of mortal existence.
The Repertoire
Since the 2014 debut The Three Lightbearers, Veilburner has produced nine full-length albums, six of them through Transcending Obscurity Records. The ninth, All That Glimmers is Gloam, arrives October 16, 2026, bearing cover artwork from Luciana Nedelea for the third consecutive album.
