About Veilburner
The Band
Comprised of Mephisto Deleterio (David Moody) and Chrisom Infernium (Chris Sheppard), Veilburner is a Pennsylvania duo who have released studio metal albums since 2014. Deleterio handles all instrumentation and production; Infernium delivers the vocals, writes the lyrics, and shapes the band's visual identity.
The Sound
Poised at the intersection of avant-garde, black, and death metal with dissonant riffs, warped song structures, and vocal performances that swing between guttural growls and unhinged calls to gnostic armies.
The Philosophy
An ongoing narrative built from cryptic mysticism, cosmic horror, and esoteric ritual. Recurring themes include gnosticism, nihilism, and occultism, channeled through two men chasing transcendence past the limits of mortal existence, and finding only deeper labyrinths.
The Repertoire
Since the 2014 debut The Three Lightbearers, Veilburner have produced nine full-length albums with no EPs, demos, or splits — just studio records, six of them through Transcending Obscurity Records. The ninth, All That Glimmers is Gloam, arrives October 16, 2026, complemented by more intricate cover artwork from Luciana Nedelea.
